Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [Logos legal entity name] (“Logos”, “we”, “us”), the company behind Inly. They apply to the Inly mobile app, the website at myinly.com, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Inly.

2. Inly is not medical or mental-health care

Inly is a tool for reflection and self-discovery. It is not a doctor, therapist, counselor, or crisis service, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental-health condition. Nothing in Inly is professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, stop using Inly and contact emergency services. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions about your health. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something Inly said.

3. Eligibility & your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You're responsible for your account and for keeping your device and sign-in secure. Tell us promptly at support@myinly.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Please give accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. The service

Inly offers conversational reflection by voice and text, a Self Map of your values, principles, beliefs, habits, and goals, and personalized insights. We're constantly improving Inly, so features may change, be added, or be removed. We may also offer features in beta, which are provided “as is” and may not always work as expected.

5. Subscriptions & payments

  • Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and what's included are shown in the app before you buy.
  • You can subscribe on myinly.com, where payments are processed by our secure payment provider, or in the app through the Apple App Store, where Apple's terms also apply.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at checkout at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, either in your Inly account settings or by emailing support@myinly.com (web purchases), or in your Apple ID settings (App Store purchases).
  • Free trials: if you start a free trial, you'll be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
  • Refunds: for web purchases, contact support@myinly.com [refund policy to be confirmed]; App Store purchases are refunded by Apple under its policies. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
  • We may change prices with advance notice. Changes apply from your next billing period.

6. Your content

“Your content” means what you say, write, or record in Inly, and your Self Map. You own your content.

You give Logos a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your content only as needed to provide and improve the Services for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for backups kept for a limited time and anything we must retain by law.

You're responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. Please avoid sharing other people's sensitive information without their permission.

7. AI-generated output

  • Inly's responses, Self Map suggestions, and insights are generated by AI. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not right for your situation.
  • Treat them as prompts for your own thinking, not as facts or instructions. You are responsible for the decisions you make.
  • Inly asks before saving anything to your Self Map, and you can edit or delete any item at any time.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Inly for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive, or to harass or harm others;
  • try to obtain instructions for self-harm, violence, or other dangerous activities;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Services, or bypass security or usage limits;
  • use automated means to access Inly, or use it to build a competing product or train AI models;
  • resell, sublicense, or share your account.

We may limit or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken or to protect users' safety.

9. Our intellectual property

The Inly name, logo, app, website, design, and underlying technology belong to Logos and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use in line with these Terms. Feedback you send us may be used to improve Inly without any obligation to you.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Inly and delete your account at any time from the app settings. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services, in which case we'll give you reasonable notice where possible and a chance to export your Self Map. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that Inly will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular result for you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Logos will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services or decisions you make based on them. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Logos against claims arising from your misuse of the Services or your breach of these Terms.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@myinly.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 60 days. [Dispute resolution / arbitration clause to be confirmed by counsel.] If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims in your local courts.

15. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Inly from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Logos, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any, and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to US government embargo and are not on any US government list of prohibited parties.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Inly after that means you accept the updated Terms.
